The Company was established in 1998 with an eight passenger balloon operated from a small base in Curtin. Dawn Drifters has now grown to a fleet of four balloons and runs its business from its office in Phillip, South Canberra.
The Company has consistently demonstrated excellent growth and profitability and was awarded three Australian Tourism and Travel Awards in 2006.
Dawn Drifters flies hot-air balloons directly over the centre of Canberra most days of the week year-round, subject to weather conditions. Passengers drift with the gentle morning winds and enjoy an uninterrupted all round view of Canberra from the Parliament House to the Brindabellas.
